Report of the Performance Measurement Workgroup April 26, 2006 At the January 12, 2006 meeting, the AQA directed the Performance Measurement Workgroup to continue its work in expanding the starter set of measures and create subgroups on acute and chronic conditions and surgery and procedures. The new Workgroups developed mission and principles documents, reviewed measurement sets in cardiology and cardiac surgery, and drafted registry principles. The full Performance Measurement Workgroup also reviewed these work products and has referred them to the AQA for review and endorsement. The Cost of Care Measures Exploratory Task Force continued their work to establish a methodology for prioritizing conditions and implementing cost of care measures. A meeting was held April 18, 2006 with experts in the field of cost of care measurement.
